I Scream, You Scream, We ALL SCREAM for Date Night…

Last Friday night, we did what we try to do every 2-3 weeks…Jim and I went on a date night. This usually entails dinner at Chili’s where we share our favorite Quesadilla Explosion salad and if we feel really outrageous, a Molten Lava Cake. Then off to the movies for the most recent action/drama/comedy flick we think is worthy of the admission cost. Living on the marriage edge let me tell you.

Sound familiar? Been married a while?

Then you need to see Date Night, the new semi-romantic comedy with two of the funniest people on the planet, Steve Carell and Tina Fey.

I can honestly say that I have not laughed this hard at a movie in 10 years…and Jim would most likely agree. It is not a chick flick or your typical romantic comedy; it is refreshingly…honest…about marriage. Now, if you are single, dating, etc…you may not get all of the nuances, but you will still enjoy it. If you have been married over ten years, you will most likely laugh until you are literally crying and then buy it in six months when it hits the store.

So our recommendation for entertainment this weekend? Grab your husband or wife, put some comfy chairs, pillows and blankets in the back and take a picnic to the Stars and Stripes Drive-In Theater where you can watch this as God intended, under the stars snuggling with your spouse. And wives, no retainers please.  (This will make sense after you see it.)

Have a great weekend—
