Lessons learned…

A lesson that I have been learning lately is that you will always find what you are looking for.  If you look for negativity and boredom, you will find it.  If you look for happiness and good spirits, you will find that too.  I mean this in all forms of the saying, in life, religion, relationships, shopping, etc.  (Because we all know that the importance of shopping is directly beneath relationships…right?)

Let me play this our for you…You go the the mall.  You walk in your favorite store and in one section, you see the sale items and in the next you see the regularly priced items. You could probably find an outfit in the sale bin that would be just as stunning (sometimes, not always) you just have to look a great deal harder and you have to be a little more creative.

 Not a shopper?  I’ll try again…

You date/married the greatest man on the planet, well he is to you anyway.  We all know that men have their faults, yes?  Yet in this relationship you have a choice.  You can choose to ignore the little things that will drive you crazy, or you can focus on every little detail and chip away at these things that don’t matter.  It’s all in what you look for.

So where am I going with this?  I am going home.  To your home.  To my home.  The place in which you wake up, the place where you go to end your day.  The one place where there are no rules of how you are to act and feel.  Well, when you put it that way, it seems pretty important.  That’s because it is.  Something that holds so much should be taken care of and cherished, don’t you think?  We do, and that is why on our new site we have a section called Simple Beauty.  It is my favorite section of the site because there is something there that absolutely everyone can relate to.  There is a section for In the home, in the garden and in me.

Beauty is everywhere.  All you have to do is look for it.  In your home, in your yard, in your spouse and in you.  Don’t deny yourself that gift.

I hope that this post speaks to you in some way, dear neighbor.  I would really love your input on all of this.  Head over to the site and leave us a comment, we would appreciate your feedback :)

Happy Hump Day.
